Principle Investigator
Dr. Karthik Krishnan
Karthik Krishnan received his M.Sc (2006) in Physics and Ph.D (2012) in Physics-Materials science from Anna University, Chennai, India investigating materials properties at nano-scale. He spent 2 years 8 months at RCIS, Okayama University, Okayama & Japan Advanced Institute for Science and Technology, Nomi-shi, Japan as postdoc for finding an adequate molecular design principle in developing nanoprotonics fuel cells. Subsequently, he did his postdoc (2 years) at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS, Japan) in investigating atomic switches for Nonvolatile memory applications.
His current research interests are in the field of Nanoionics and Nanodevices, especially for information storage and energy storage applications. He has specialized in a highly confined polymer-based systems and their application in nanoionic nonvolatile programmable electrochemical metallization (ECM) memory devices, quantum conductance in memory devices for high-density multilevel memory.
